Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Cat Concierge holds public liability insurance including pets in custody or control. The owner also holds a recent National Police Certificate. Both of these documents can be viewed at your initial consultation.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
1. How does a cat sitting service work? Cat Concierge will come to your home, once or twice daily, for a minimum 30 minute visit. During this time we will feed, replace water, clean or change your cat's litter, brush/groom your cat, play with your cat (only if they're in the mood!) and even take them for a walk on a harness in their yard if they are accustomed to this. 2. What other services do you provide? Cat Concierge will pick up your mail, take out and bring in your bins, water your pot plants and garden, free of charge in the same visit. Cat Concierge can also feed your fish, birds and other small pets in the same visit. 3. Why is your service better than cat boarding at a cattery? Cats are different to dogs. They don't actually like being with other strange cats! A cat is attached to its territory above all else, so leaving your cat in its own home is the least stressful option for her when you go away. There's no stressful travel in the car involved. Its also convenient for you, in terms of time, convenience, and you also get a house sitting service at the same time. If you have a cat with a serious medical condition that requires surveillance and treatment, Cat Concierge recommends boarding at a vet where qualified professionals can monitor and treat your cat when necessary. 4. Do you look after dogs too? No, Cat Concierge is exclusively for cats! Dogs can often become noisy, destructive, lonely and prone to escaping when left alone for long periods with only a couple of visits a day from a sitter. If you have a dog, Cat Concierge recommends boarding at a reputable kennel or facility where your dog can receive sufficient human interaction and socialisation with other dogs.
