How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I got into plumbing when i was 17 yr old and never looked back. You meet wonderful people. Its a hard line of work and not always easy but its certainly rewarding to see the smiles on customers faces!

I always have had a soft spot for the older generation having been so close with my own grandparents. I once helped an elderly lady out with a replacement Hot Water System that clearly was the casualty of some poor workmanship. Nice to always look after those who have looked after us

It is definitely the long term relationships we build. Having a laugh along the way and genuinely just taking real pride in providing customers with a good reliable service. Sometimes having a beer or coffee break with clients afterwards is good fun too. Its not all about work!

Do you charge a call out fee and what are your hourly rates? - No BPG do not charge a call out fee we charge by the job and work with the customer to come up with the most cost effective solution for their specific job.

You will get a professional service at a reasonable price by an experienced licensed/insured plumber and gas fitter.  You will also make a new friend and have someone to call on at anytime. Friendships and getting to know the families we work for is what we love best.

The more detail you can provide a tradesman with (i.e photos, videos) the better chance you have of getting a more accurate quote. Often a site visit for more extensive work is best as it gives the customer the chance to liaise with the tradesman directly.

* Ask if there are any hidden costs such as call out fees or charges by 30min increments * Ask if the person working on your property is qualified licensed and insured  * Be very clear and brief the tradesman exactly what you are after so the tradesman can provide a clear and upfront cost.

If you choose to go through us for your HWU replacements we will source you a HWU with no markup on the cost of the unit. If you also choose to go ahead with any HWU replacement we will also carry out a free gas test and property water test to ensure there are no leaks and everything is sound.

Just a good, honest and upfront service at a fair and reasonable price to ensure we are the Plumbing Contractor of Choice.

We can either charge by the hour or by the job. We sit down with the customers to work out what works best for the particular job and how best to complete the job in the most cost effective and timely manner. We do not charge call out fees.
