Frequently asked questions
What do you like most about your job?
I love that I get to change people's live for the better. To help them get pregnant, to go from being exhausted to energised, and to help educate them about their body's. Being a Naturopath is the best job in the world!
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Ok, so if I was in your shoes and I was looking for a Naturopath to help me with my postpartum health, this is exactly what I would look for to ensure you get the right fit for you. 1. That the naturopath aligns with your values! A great example of this is, if you are primarily looking for education about your own health, make sure that your naturopath isn’t just trying to sell you a bunch of supplements every visit and actually tells you what they think it’s happening with your body and context as to why. 2. They have a solid understanding of the body not only in the postpartum period, but also pregnancy as well. Many of the issues we see arise in the postpartum period can be due to changes that occur during pregnancy. A great example of this is changes to the thyroid! 3. That you felt heard and seen by your naturopath Trying to cram an initial postpartum consultation into 15 or 30 minutes isn’t going to benefit anyone! Some naturopaths only offer 15 or 30 minute initial consultations. Check how long the initial appointment is before you book! It’s so important to pick the right practitioner for you. If you have any questions about postpartum health, feel free to contact me and I can answer any of your questions.
