Yes I am fully insured and guarantee you will be happy with my work.  I also offer a Trial service for Brides, Formals and Special Event Hair Styling and Makeup.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a child i always had a desire to play with hair & makeup, but when cutting Barbie's hair didn't excite me anymore my sister & my friends became my models.  Later on, I started out doing free work experience for salons and then began my 4 year apprenticeship which i graduated with Honours.  Makeup came later on and I love everything about makeup, it can transform people and give them so much confidence.   Since i started my career 20 years ago, I've had 2 kids, stated my own Hair and Makeup Business and i haven't looked back, there are still so many things i would love to accomplish within my career and i feel like I'm only just getting started!!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I did Lauren's Hair and Makeup for her wedding but first we did her trial.  She was so thrilled her trial that she went to work the following day with her hair still pinned up and looking glamorous, she had many comments from her work collegues.   After the wedding she sent me a message telling me how she loved her hair and makeup and how it held up perfectly after driving up to Port Douglas in a convertible with the roof down!!!!

What do you like most about your job?

I love seeing the transformation of my clients & I love hearing their squeals of delight and watching the expressions on their faces when they see themselves looking glamorous and at their absolute best. I also love building friendships that last long after I've first met them and had the pleasure of sharing their special day with them.

What is their availibility and What products do they use.  I offer Airbrush Makeup as well as Traditional Makeup, my products are designed to withstand our hot, humid climate and can last up to 24 hours, it is sweat, tear & water-proof, It looks flawless and gives great coverage and doesn't feel heavy on the skin, the application is soft and relaxing and it feels so light on the skin.  Airbrush Makeup products i use are:  Elementwo Foundation, Blush, Bronzer, Highlighter.   Traditional makeup products i use are: Cinema Secrets, RCMA, Graftobian, Napoleon, MAC, NYX.   Hair products: White Sands, Amika, Swarzkopf, Redken, Keune.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

I get asked often is there anything my clients need to do before the day of their booking for hair and makeup? Please Wash your hair the day or night before and make sure it is completely dry on the day. You can blast it dry with a blow-dryer if it takes a while to dry naturally,  is your hair is prone to being knotty, please brush all the tangles out before i arrive.  And, If you are having your makeup done, Cleanse your face and remove any traces of makeup, you can lightly moisturise afterwards if you choose to do so.  Make sure to have your chosen lipstick or lip gloss handy to touch up with throughout the day and night of your event.

I will always confirm your appointment prior to your event & I take great pride on always being puntucal for al all appointments . I only ever book one wedding party per day so you are guaranteed that your special day will not be double booked. My clients always say that they feel relaxed and never rushed or stressed and most importantly have fun on the day.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

It is helpful if the customer can provide as many details about the event.  Name, Email and Contact numbers are helpful along with The Date of the Event and The Time you need to be finished by How many people require Hair Styling.   How many people require Makeup.  (Prices do differ between Traditional and Airbrush Makeup) Location: Travel fees apply outside the Cairns area.

Group Bookings: I can negotiate and offer reduced rates for Formal Hair and Makeup groups of 2 or more so get a group of friends together and save.  Location: I am based in Cairns so Travel fees apply to Port Douglas, Mission Beach, Atherton Tablelands, Mareeba

How do you normally charge for your service?

I accept payments via Bank Transfer, Paypal, Cash or I have a mobile Eftpos Machine that accepts Debit and Credit Cards.   A deposit is required to secure your booking and payments for wedding parties is required to be paid in full 7 days before the date of the wedding.
