  In initial quoting process to handle my late fathers estate I was told they can not give an exact quote but it will be a minimum of 2000 and a maximum of 4000. While I was happy with the level of compassion and service I got during the process, it took a very long time (1 year) and I was handed back the case incomplete and with an invoice for approx $7600 and a miniscul discount to acknowledge the amount is far higher than agreed upon. No communication had taken place that the account had gone over the maximum amount quoted and to be honest, the case was very simple with only super annuation, employer and bank account. No property, no assets or anything like that to settle. I feel I have been taken advantage of in a vulnerable time and situation. And to make matters worse I am still running around getting documents signed and certified and submitting them myself to FWO. The very reason why I hired a law firm in the first place. Although the other local firm I approached was a little bit higher at quote process but in the end would have saved me a lot of money. After disputing the invoice they offered a small discount, admitting that it was not dealt with properly. But that took a long time to resolve. I do not recommend ALG as I find the dishonesty to be concerning when you are dealing with a law group.
