We have 20 Million Dollars Public Liability and abide by all Government OHS rules & regulations. We are totally insured.

Can problem trees be removed without too much damage to the surrounding landscaping?  On some sites it may be very difficult to avoid minor damage to surrounding plants, however this is kept to a minimum with the care of our team.  Can your team remove very large and problematic trees? Argonauts have access to plant and equipment to deal with all situations so we can handle any tree challenges that you may have.

When removing trees or carrying out structural tree removal services, we always seek to minimise disruption and environmental impact. Argonauts removes large branches and timbers from trees in a low impact manner, as well as removing large timber or logs from your property without damaging the immediate area, Argonauts Tree Service use our four wheel drive 7 ton Citi Crane when possible for low impact tree removals. The added benefit with this is that the cost of the work is often reduced compared to doing the whole job by hand  This is an integral part of our total tree removal service, to provide you with peace of mind that we have the skills, experience and equipment to provide you with a comprehensive and safe service with minimal impact to you, your neighbours and the surrounding area.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Trees are a wonderful addition to any garden, grounds or public area, providing shade, natural beauty and benefiting the environment. They can also represent a significant danger to you, your family and your property if not taken care of. From time to time, a tree may need pruning for many reasons:      To remove diseased or weather-damaged branches.     To remove branches that may have become dangerous.     If your tree is overhanging buildings.     Removal of deadwood.     If a tree is crossing a property boundary.     To shape a tree for aesthetic purposes, improve balance.     To remove lower branches to prevent children swinging or playing in them.     To strike the right balance between providing shade and being safe.  When it comes to inspecting for damage, there are a few ‘warning signs’ which you may be able to see yourself:      Are there unusual bulges in the trunk or forks of the branches?     Is there running sap on the bark of the tree?     Are the forks of the branches cracked or splitting?     Is there any bracket fungus?     Is the tree dropping branches or leaves out of season?  Expert pruning is important in developing a strong tree, as well as improving a tree’s looks. Trees that are pruned from a young age will require less corrective pruning when they mature. However, all is not lost for older trees. We are experienced in corrective maintenance and can assist you in making your trees safe and attractive, whatever their age.  Tree Removal  Cutting a tree down completely is almost always a last resort – no-one wants to cut a healthy tree down, but sometimes a tree can become a danger to people and property.It’s also a hazardous activity which requires the right skills and equipment to be carried out effectively and safely.  Stump Grinding Tree stumps can be a nuisance, whether they’re in the way of a new lawn or patio, or at risk of regrowth. Many property owners choose to have their tree stumps ground to avoid any future re-growth or to avoid a rotting stump becoming infested with white ants or other potentially harmful pests. It also reduces the risk of a trip hazard.  Having a stump ground after the removal of a tree can also increase yard space and can make a useful space for replanting trees in the future. We grind out the stump and surface roots to approximately 250mm to 300mm below the existing ground level.

Our on-going in house training programme ensures we maintain the highest possible standards and constantly increase our capabilities as a company.  All our staff are trained in the Pruning of Amenity Trees and the Amenity Tree Code of Practice.  Our industry expects the highest of standards, but we see these as a base minimum, not as an aspirational point.  We naturally hold all appropriate certification for our work, and this is reviewed and updated on a regular basis as a matter of course. Our qualified and experienced Arborists provide expertise and benchmark techniques for our industry.
