How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My father was a chainsaw and small engine mechanic and obviously serviced all the chainsaw for the arborists in the area, i was young and offered days of work with all of the arborist companies and when i saw them climb to the tops of all these trees, i decided that what i wanted to do.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My favorite customer that comes to mind now is an old lady from woodcroft, who would call us up every 6 months or so to prune her trees and would always have an array of baked goods ready to feed us for lunch. although there are many customers like this old lady and we always appreciate them.

What do you like most about your job?

I like the view from atop the trees. being able to see the whole of Adelaide at once never gets old. I also like the feeling of achievement when completing a large removal.

In this industry i think the best questions to ask are: 1. How do you intend to proceed with the task and  2. Are you insured.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Most commonly asked questions usually relate to council laws such as, if the tree is regulated or significant and the process of obtaining approval.  Other questions could be how much of a neighboring tree are they able to trim or remove. all questions are answered in accordance to the current laws

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Very punctual and on time. Can handle any job thrown my way although if there was ever an instance where I didn't think i could complete the job in the safest and professional way possible, i would make that known and pass on a number for someone i know who definitely could.

1. The size of the tree and time it will take to complete 2. The access to the tree 3. The area around the tree and what breakables are around it. 4. Whether the tree is being removed or pruned 5. Whether the customer would like to keep the wood and/or foliage from the tree

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Clear and area around the tree to make removal easier. 2. Clear a path from the tree to the front driveway to make getting the material out easier. 3. Some people just contract us to get the tree down and they sort out removing the materials themselves to save money which is always an option.

I wouldn't say my quotes are based on the concept of competitiveness, i quote relating to every job being the best that it can be in the most effective and affordable way. we do the best job we can at every job we do and quotes are always as affordable as they can be made.

How do you normally charge for your service?

My services are charged per quote on the tree based on a variety of aspect such as, the risk taken, the time needed, the amount of staff and equipment needed ect. in saying that i always strive to make my quotes as affordable as possible.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Although i specialize in complete removals, i do prefer, and am very capable to also do prune work on any tree. if the tree can be saved, i would prefer to.

i have 12 years of hands on experience in all aspects of the industry, in multiple situations, enviroments and all the right companies, learning from the best of the best in how to proceed with any task in the most effective and safest way possible.
