Yes I am insured. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I guarantee that I will turn up on time or you will have your money back!  I guarantee that you will get the service you request

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I had a upbringing within the church and I have always loved ritual!  So this is why I first had an interest in becoming a celebrant.  I am also creative and very organised which you have to be, if you are a exceptional celebrant

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

I have so many!!!! I have been blessed to share so many wonderful celebrations over the years. All of them are special. The themed weddings seem to stick out in my mind the most. Including the wedding I performed in my pjamas! Yes the bride was 9 months pregnant and that is all she felt comfortable in. So we all wore pjamas!

I love interacting with people!  I love being able to create memorable moments alongside my clients. I just LOVE my job and think I have the best job in the world

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Will you allow me to choose my own readings/poems or vows? Will you allow me to choose a ceremony that I am 100 per cent happy with? Will you be rushing off to another ceremony after mine? Do you include a rehearsal in your fee? Do you provide a PA system and can you play music through it.

Can I include family or friends in my ceremony? The answer is Yes! I believe ceremonies are far more meaningful if they have others included in the ceremony. What does you fee cover and will there be extra things I will have to pay for? If you go to my website www.civilceremonies.com.au you will find out what you get for my fee. There is no extra charge on top of this.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

In 10 years as a celebrant I have only ever had to hand over one ceremony to a fellow celebrant due to illness. So I am healthy!! I have a reliable newer model car which is not likely to break down. I have never been under review by the attorney general's department for anything I have done wrong. And I am a stickler for time. Often turning up way to early for ceremonies. But I would rather do that than be rushing around

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I have 10 years experience. Profession and Affordable I will not railroad you into having extra things in your ceremony you don't want. If you want short and sweet you will get it I provide a marriage certificate filled in by a professional calligrapher

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

Where will the ceremony be? When and what time will the ceremony be? How long do you want your ceremony to go for - half and hour as opposed to 10 minutes. Do you want a personalised ceremony or is a quick and easy registry style ceremony ok.

Have everything in order. Birth, Divorce or Death certificates Choose a celebrant that doesn't add extra onto you fee after booking. Find a celebrant that charges appropriately. Like me!

Quick and Easy weddings. In saying that I can also provide a full service which is personalised I also have a special interest in baby/children funerals I have experience in dealing with families with additional needs

10 years as a registered nurse Certificate 4 in Planning, Conduct and Review and Marriage Ceremony Faculty certificate in Civil Ceremonies ( Monash University)  Member of the Australian Marriage Celebrants Association
