How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started engraving down at the now defunct Bay Mall & when an opportunity of a locksmith apprenticeship came up I thought this is a logical progression from engraving and key cutting to a qualified locksmith position.

I'm not sure I have a favourite customer story as such. I get a lot of joy out seeing that each and every customer by the time I am finished is thoroughly happy with the work that has been done.

What I like most about my job is being an owner/ operator means I can take the time needed to make sure I do the very best job I can for the client. Reputation is everything.

You should always ask if the person coming is a fully qualified locksmith and how long have they been locksmithing. You want to make sure you get a qualified , good locksmith coming out to you.

The most common question undoubtedly is "How much will it cost?"If it is fitting locks that can usually be determined by the type of lock and colour you chose. If it is repairs that can be harder to determine because it will depend on how quickly or long it takes to repair, but again...an approximate should still  be able to be given.

I am a solely mobile business which means lower prices for customers. I also offer Seniors discount for Pensioners & have 25+ years experience in the Locksmith industry.

Before quoting there a few things that a locksmith should ask. What suburb do you live in for a start. If you live close by I offer a discounted call out fee, this is great news for a lot of customers. Other things might be colour of locks required. It's always best to chat with the customer about their requirements first, that way an honest reliable cost can be obtained.

There are many ways to save money. Often DIY does not actually save money if you buy the wrong lock that won't fit or trying to fix a lock and make it worse. Get a quote from a professional who can tell you the cheapest and best way to resolve your problem.

The reason my prices are amongst the lowest in Adelaide is because my business is solely mobile. This means no electricity costs, no rent costs. All of these charges are passed on to the customer by other businesses.

My prices are based on what is a fair price for the job , not how much can I realistically make from this customer? I charge a callout fee and an hourly charge, but they are extremely competitive in the field.
