Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We guarantee all our work. We believe that we must deliver the work we have contracted to do, no matter what obstacles may get in our way. We have a good reputation and we can only keep that intact by doing everything possible to make and keep our customers very happy.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I started out my life in the RAAF where I trained as a Telegraphist. The skills I was taught included speed touch typing (about 110 wpm), Morse code (yes...that long ago!), programming and processing encryption machines, tape relay services, air-to-ground and ground-to-air communications, and much more. I served in Ubon, northeast Thailand in 1967 at the height of the Vietnam war. After I left the RAAF I always maintained an interest in technology and using some of the skills I had learned. But it wasn't in 1985 when the first PC's appeared that I was able to put all my skills to work again. My first PC was a Commodore 64. It came with a manual to teach how to program in BASIC. I mastered that language quickly and when the first IBM PC came out not long afterwards I bought one and hired a teacher for 2 years to teach me how to design databases and write applications for them. I have been heavily involved in IT ever since those early days, and even contributed to the development of the IT industry in Thailand by writing a newspaper column called "dBasics" for four years, as well as setting up one of the first BBS (Bulletin Board Services), the pre-cursor to the internet. And of course, when the Internet finally came along I designed one of the first websites in Thailand. At that time, there were less than one million people on the internet around the world. That website attracted quite a few people to contact me and I am still friends with some of them to this day. So, for me, the IT industry has not only provided a fun way to make a living, it has also expanded my horizons around the world and helped me make friends with people I would never have met otherwise. One other thing I have found invaluable from my experience in IT is that I have always been learning new technologies. And this keeps me young and in touch with the world.
