My work is guaranteed meaning that - no fix, no fee! If you paid and then the problem returns within a few days through no fault of your own, I'll come back and fix it.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I've always been computer savvy since before computers were mainstream (1980's). I've followed through the technological advancements from Tandy Basic, 386, 486, Pentium etc and DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and so on to Windows 10.  I have professional training background in IT plus Electronics Engineering

Most customers don't like computers, or technology so I find many customers are annoyed by the problems that occur. I've been told many times "I don't know how you do it."

I love getting positive feedback and appreciation for resolving a problem, or building a computer that satisfies the customer's need. Computers aren't terribly exciting so getting recognised for a job well done is great.

How long have you been doing this? Will you honour your service if the problem arises again in the next few days? Do you have a Google or Facebook presence?

The most commonly asked questions we get is how much, and how did this particular problem occur. Fixed pricing is tough without fully assessing the problem, preferably in person, as you may be looking at the tip of an iceberg. As for why or how this occurred - since computers are complex, many problems are user error or software bugs.

My main focus is to not just attend to the main issue at hand, but alert you to other issues which may cause you problems, or enhance your computing experience.  I'm friendly, speak in a a non-technical manner, and down to earth.

I've been repairing computers & providing technical and training services for 18 years of business, plus several years prior to that in employment positions. Where many technicians are dismissive or B.S. you to save effort or time, I have a care factor and don't cut corners unless requested

To better help me quote, I need to know: 1. The age of the computer 2. The operating system (Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, Server) 3. When the problem occurred 4. What were you doing before you noticed a problem.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Our customers can save money with us using the following tips: 1. Deliver the computer/laptop to us and pick it up. This saves us time which saves you money. This isn't always applicable. 2. If we come out, have the PC in a state we can start working on immediately. 3. Don't leave a bug unrepaired, it will usually do more damage and cost more to fix.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I don't round up my hourly rate unlike many. So if I'm working for 1hr 19mins. I calculate the charge to the minute, not round up to half hour, or worse, round up to the hour.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We typically charge on an hourly rate. This is most fair to both you, our customer, and us. Some problems or services are impossible to gauge the complexity and depth of repairs by simply getting an explanation of the symptoms. Having said that, we will still provide fixed quotes if required.

In the IT industry, we specialise in servicing small business and home users. In particular, we provide virus removal, system repairs, upgrades, training, new hardware and much more.

I have over 20 years in IT & Technology experience backed by Electronics Engineering education. I worked in the commercial sector in security, software development, technical support and training before going into business.
