My favourite story was selling a Terrace house in Bondi Junction. We were the 6th agent on this property in 3 years. When we looked the property not only did we feel that the property was being poorly marketed but that it was under valued by the previous agents. We sold this property in 12 hours for $100K more than it was previously marketed for.

What do you like most about your job?

The most enjoyable thing a real estate agent can do is to achieve a price for our vendors way above their expectations. Nothing s more rewarding than seeing the look on their face at that moment. A close second is handing over the keys to someone who has just purchased their dream home.

The most important question a customer should ask his agent is "Who will attend my opens?" Often large agencies are great at listing, but the experienced agents do not attend the opens. They often send their juniors. Vendors want an experience negotiator to attend ALL OPENS. Even if a property has failed at auction and is open afterwards, "FOR SALE" an experienced agent and not his junior should attend.

We never want to put limitations in our mind. But the most import thing to remember is that COMPETITION is what helps drive a price north.
